DABA
Dr. Ayman Daba is an internationally recognized scientist with over three decades of experience in cancer research, medicinal mushrooms, and clinical laboratory sciences. He began his scientific career in 1991, focusing on the anticancer and medicinal properties of fungal polysaccharides. He holds a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry and has published extensively on mushroom bioactives and polysaccharide structure–function relationships.
Dr. Daba is a former Fulbright Scholar at the University of Wisconsin USA and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Aarhus Kommune Hospital (Denmark) and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where he studied tumor microenvironment biology and cancer therapeutics. He previously served as Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Bioproducts in Alexandria, leading anticancer drug development programs. A former Fellow of the National Academy of Biochemistry, Chartered Chemist (Royal Society of Chemistry, London), and Florida-licensed, board-certified Clinical Laboratory Director, he spent eight years at Abbott Diagnostics (USA) contributing to clinical assay development and laboratory quality systems.
He also served as Laboratory Manager at the University of Chicago and currently holds the position of Director of Clinical Operations at Doctor’s Data (Chicago, USA). He is a former ASCP Career Ambassador , with leadership spanning ethics, safety, and regulatory-driven laboratory practice.
