We are preparing a Social Program designed to make your stay in Bragança truly memorable!

Beyond the Scientific Program, we are delighted to invite you to discover some of the most emblematic places of Bragança, as well as its culture, gastronomy, and traditions. And, of course, there will be a few surprises along the way… but we cannot reveal everything just yet!

Bragança with History – Sunset at the Castle

22 September | 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Our Social Program will begin with an evening at Bragança Castle, in a setting that combines history, heritage, and the beautiful atmosphere of sunset.

This event will have the spirit of a Welcome Cocktail, with food and drinks, offering the perfect opportunity to meet fellow participants, enjoy the surroundings, and officially begin the IMMC13 experience.

Traditional Village Visit – Rio de Onor

24 September | 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm

We will visit Rio de Onor, a traditional village in the Bragança region that is shared between Portugal and Spain. On one side is Rio de Onor, while on the other side of the border is Rihonor de Castilla, which is why it is often described as one village, two countries!.

During the visit, participants will have the opportunity to explore this unique cross-border community and enjoy a small traditional afternoon snack.

Bragança with Flavor – Wine Masterclass: Altitude & Old Vines – The Unique Terroir of Trás-os-Montes

22 September | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
25 September | 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

We invite you to discover the unique identity of Trás-os-Montes, exploring how altitude, native grape varieties, and old vines come together to create wines of elegance, freshness, and character.

Bragança with Culture – Bread & Wine

23 September | 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

On the second evening, we will gather at theAbade de Baçal Museum for an experience celebrating local culture and gastronomy.

Food, wine and tradition will come together in a unique setting, offering participants the opportunity to discover some of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the region.

Bragança with Elegance – Gala Dinner

24 September | 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm

Following our visit to Rio de Onor, we will continue to Quinta da Carvalhinha for the IMMC13 Gala Dinner.

An evening of good food and celebration, providing the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate the connections, ideas and experiences created throughout the conference.

Getting around

All activities are part of the IMMC13 Social Program and have been carefully scheduled so that they will not overlap any scientific sessions, allowing participants to enjoy the Social Program without missing any part of the Scientific Program.

Transportation to and from the activities will be provided by the IMMC13 Organizing Committee according to the scheduled departure and return times.

We hope you will join us in discovering Bragança beyond the conference rooms – through its history, culture, flavors, landscapes and traditions!
