Eric Puro is the CEO and Co-Founder of KÄÄPÄ Biotech, a globally active Finnish biotechnology company specialising in the cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, research and development of functional mushroom ingredients. His work focuses on connecting science, industry and consumer needs to support the responsible development of the functional mushroom category.

Eric believes we should look to nature for answers. This belief led him to biotechnology and ultimately to mushrooms. His curious nature has driven KÄÄPÄ Biotech to continually push boundaries, while his high standards have helped build a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, innovation and exploration. Under his leadership, KÄÄPÄ has grown into a globally recognised leader in the functional mushroom industry.

In recognition of his work and the contributions of the KÄÄPÄ team, Eric was invited to join the Executive Committee of the International Medicinal Mushroom Society.

He lives in Karjalohja, Finland, with his wife, three children, one cat, one dog and two beehives.
