ÁNGEL
R. TRIGOS
Emeritus National Researcher affiliated with the Center for Research in Applied Mycology at the University of Veracruz. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences in 1987 from the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain. He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, Senior member, and a winner of the State Award for Science and Technology (Veracruz, Mexico).
He has published more than 125 research articles in indexed journals in Mexico and abroad. He has also served as a visiting professor at institutes and universities in Panama, Peru, Spain, Portugal, and Russia. He is currently a professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy and a faculty member of the doctoral programs in Biomedical Sciences and Applied Mycology at his university.
He has also served as Director General of Research at the University of Veracruz, Founding Director of the High Technology Laboratory in Xalapa, and Director of the Department of Chemistry and Biology at the University of the Americas-Puebla.
