Dr. Rojison Koshy is the Vice President of Research & Development and Operations at Ujala Life Sciences, a unit of Amar Ujala Ltd., India, where he leads multidisciplinary research on sustainable cultivation, scalable extraction technologies, and the discovery, characterization, standardization, and clinical evaluation of bioactive compounds from functional mushrooms. 

His expertise includes analytical standardization of botanical and fungal dietary ingredients, mycology, food safety, residual contaminant analysis and risk mitigation, and the design and evaluation of clinical studies for safety and efficacy. He is a certified Food Safety and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) trainer and serves as a technical assessor for testing laboratories under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. 

Dr. Koshy earned his postgraduate degree in Pharmacy and earned his PhD at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, where his research focused on developing analytical methods for pesticide residue determination and risk assessment in Indian medicinal plants. 

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributed to the development of analytical monographs for pharmacopoeias, supporting the quality standardization of Indian medicinal botanicals. His current research advances cultivation and extraction methodologies for functional mushrooms, the screening, isolation, characterization, and standardization of their bioactive compounds to support safe and evidence-based application.
